The Essential Technique Course for this summer will be starting THIS MONDAY June 16 at 8pm and every Monday for 11weeks until August 25 (see flyer attached).
This progressive course takes an in-depth look at followers & general tango technique (see below for program details). It is open to all tango dancers and ½ price for intermediate level male leaders!
Course Summary: The aim of this course is to study the fundamental technical elements of Argentine tango; to understand i) how the body moves in tango (mechanism) and ii) how to use your body skillfully (technique) with particular focus on:
- technical accuracy - improving quality of movement - increasing awareness of automated bad habits - searching for organic and comfortable movement - follower versatility, active following and leader attentiveness and accommodation

5 The real gancho! (Ladies, the body reflex is faster than the ticking brain – so, learn to stop worrying and let it go)

10 Pushing traditional tango steps to their limits
