Understanding Dance
Summer Dance Course code: DANCE A1 Understanding Dance
Classes for adults, students, teachers, (some experience is recommended) Beginner classes available ( no experience).
Program Taught by: Miss Elain Daviau A.I.S.T.D. Associate Diploma Cecchetti Faculty Member of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing.
The Cecchetti Society of Canada accepts students entered by a qualified Cecchetti teacher who is authorized to prepare and enter students for examination.
Understanding Dance
Correcting basic movements. How to use connecting steps. How to practice effectively. Increasing stamina.
Focus
Classes focus on technique and strength building for balance, jumps, pirouettes, point work and partnering. Each student benefits from individual attention. Class exercises are based on the Cecchetti System used to train professional dancers. Class work will cover Intermediate and Advanced 1 and 2 Syllabus and Teachers Qualifying Associate. .
Tuesday & Thursday 6:30-8:00 Technique Class (all levels) Tuesday 8:00-9:30 Intermediate, Advanced 1 Thursday 8:00-9:30pm Advanced 2, Cecchetti Diploma exerpts
Summer program fees: 16 Classes 1.5 hrs each Course $320
