Bellydance Classes in Toronto

Alhambra Dance has a variety of different classes to offer this fall as well as 2 different locations we will teach from (Toronto & Etobicoke).

Below are class descriptions. Some classes are already scheduled with locations, some are still TBD.

TORONTO CLASSES LOCATION:

3300 Yonge Street, 4th Floor - Tandem Dance & Fitness Studios

Mondays @ 8pm (1hr class)

Bellydance Groove:

-6 week Fall session.

What is it?

This class is designed to be a non-stop dance class.

Some review of bellydance technique will take place in the beginning part of the class, but it will smoothly meld into continuous dancing and shimmying for the rest of the hour.

All classes start with a warm up and cool down.

It'll help keep you fit through continuous dancing, and it's a great opportunity to experience all sorts of Middle Eastern music and dance styles!

--Good for all levels of bellydancer from Beginner to Advanced!!--

Wednesdays @ 6pm (1hr class)

Bellyrobics:

- 8 week fall session

What is it?

Bellyrobics is a class designed to increase your heart rate and keep it pumping for 50 non-stop minutes!

The first 10 minutes of each class will be used to "workshop" the moves used throughout the class- Total class time is 60 minutes.

Bellydance is a great workout for your entire body, and when put into a fitness class form, you'll really work up a sweat! Major muscle groups that get used in bellydance are the core muscles, and your adductors (inner thighs) to move our hips in a number of ways. Arms also get an excellent toning workout especially when using the veil. With various movements you'll also find that you use some back muscles as well.

--For bellyrobics please bring an aerobic/running shoe or sneakers if you don't have the first two. A limited number of Hip scarves & Veils will be provided, but if you have your own, feel free to bring it. --

Wednesdays @ 8pm (1hr Class)

Introduction to Bellydance

-8 week fall session

--Learn about yourself through beautiful body movements. Bellydance is a great form of exercise, it increases self-esteem, develops full body awareness and is TONS of FUN!! ;)

ETOBICOKE LOCATION CLASSES:

Zumba Classes:
