CLUB MILONGA NEWS FOR OCTOBER 18, 2011
INSTRUCTOR: We are going to have a fabulous guest instructor - Luna Palacios, one of El Congreso 2011 maestros. Please arrive on time and get the benefit of this rare opportunity. Here is some more information about her:
LUNA PALACIOS
Born in Buenos Aires, Luna Palacios is an authentic young milonguera, tango dancer, who learned tango from some of the most storied figures in Buenos Aires dance halls. The greatest inspiration for her was her teacher and friend, the late Carlos Gavito. Shortly after they met, Carlos became Luna's artistic mentor.
Nowadays, she travels back and forth from Argentina to perform and teach in different places around the world.

NEWCOMER CLASS: The lesson begins at 7:30 for one hour in the upstairs hall. Joseph and Tony are the instructors for October.
PRACTICA/MILONGA: General dancing from 9pm to 10:30pm
Admission: $10.00 for the class and practicalonga. $5.00 for practicalonga only. Students $5.00. First time visitors receive a FREE pass for the following week.
OCTOBER 18th is our Ladies Night and Birthday party for all October "babies". We will have as well a Tango demo from a surprise guest.
OCTOBER 25th will be our Halloween costume party. Prizes, games and fun. Come in costume and enjoy a great evening. There will be no lesson. 8pm to 11pm.
Club Milonga wants to build it's music library. We are asking for donations of original tango music (not copies). If anyone has CD's they would like to donate, we will be very grateful.
This is YOUR club. Make it special. Invite your friends and colleagues to come and see what you are so passionate about and help the club grow. No advertising beats word of mouth.
