AFRO-CUBAN DANCE CLASSES with Ilédè
Ilédè is a Toronto based ensemble that teaches and performs the folkloric music and dance of Cuba.
Come join us every Thursday night for live drumming and dance and share in the rich African based music and dance styles that helped to shape the popular forms of Cuban culture we enjoy today!
Learning the dances such as those of the orisha, palo and rumba can add great style, flare and musicality to your salsa while also providing you with a greater understanding of the roots of popular Cuban dances.
Each class includes in-depth background of each dance style, learning Afro-Cuban songs as well as dance steps, and accompaniment by live drummers.
