TV Dance Stars at Toronto Partner Dancing Festival in May

Pasha & Anya from "So you think you can dance" & Alec & Edyta from "Dancing with the Stars" will be in Toronto May 24 and 25 for a Hot Latin and Ballroom Dance Event that will feature fantastic shows and workshops in various forms of partner dancing.  If you want to take workshops from top dancers, or just sample various forms of partner dancing, this is the event for you!

Ballroom dance refers to a set of partner dances which originated in the Western world and are now enjoyed both socially and competitively around the globe. While historically ballroom dance may refer to any form of formal social dancing as recreation, in modern times the term has become much narrower in scope, usually referring specifically to the International Standard (Waltz, Foxtrot, Quickstep, Tango, and Viennese Waltz) and International Latin (Rumba, Cha-Cha, Samba, Jive, Paso Doble) style dances. In the United States, two additional variations "American Smooth" and "American Rhythm" have also been popularized and are commonly recognized as styles of "ballroom dance".
