DANCERS NEEDED FOR LIVE & TELEVISION STUDIO PERFORMANCES & MUSIC VIDEO

An original Pop/Rock/Dance fusion act (www.ashrafmusic.com) is now seeking 1 experienced, attractive female dancer between the ages of 19 and 29 to join our act and perform with one other dancer and our six-piece band at live music venues and in-studio television performances in and around the GTA. The selected dancer will perform with us throughout the summer and potentially on a long-term basis thereafter and will also be featured in an upcoming music video.

The selected dancer will be guaranteed payment for each live performance, with additional income available from merchandise and ticket sales commission.

Our last audition (on Saturday June 17th) was very successful and we were able to select one dancer. Thank you to all of the dancers who came out to the audition.

Live performances will range from once a month to twice a week depending on market conditions and the success of the project. The music video shoot will take place in the late summer. The first show we would like the dancers to perform for is on the evening of July 8th, 2006 as part of the Toronto Night Market Festival:

Auditions will be held at a M-DO Studios (www.mdo-tte.org) in the downtown Toronto area this Saturday morning (June 24th).

DETAILS:
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your allotted audition time. At the audition we will ask you to introduce yourself and tell us a little about your experience and background. You will then be asked to perform a 3 - 5 minute routine with the music of your choice (preferably something contemporary with urban and hip hop influence).

You will be required to bring your own music (on CD) and you must perform either barefoot, in appropriate dance shoes, or in socks (as street shoes are not allowed in the studio). A stereo system and bottled water will be provided. In addition, all dancers auditioning will receive a complimentary instrumental "Perfect Chaos" CD.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

--- ATTITUDE ---
Above all things, we’re looking for dancers with have an easy-going, drama-free personality with positive outlooks on life and a sincere passion for dance and music. We are all seasoned artists with well over 20 years of live performance experience, and we'd like to connect with mature, reliable and equally professional fellow artists with the common vision of providing quality live entertainment which differentiates us from the rest of the mediocrity that exists in the live music and entertainment market today.

--- PERSONALITY ---
We are looking for dancers who understand the value of maintaining an inviting smile on and off stage. Having a positive and out-going personality will be a major determining factor. Since, in addition to performing with the band and in the music video, part of your role and compensation structure as a successful member of the project will be to attract and invite potential guests to come in and enjoy the show, or to purchase CDs and merchandise, having an inviting and attractive personality will be a key factor.

--- PASSION ---
We are looking for dancers who will put forth 110% effort and passion into each and every performance regardless of the circumstances. Whether there are 10 people, 100 people or 1000 people in the audience, we each perform with every drop of passion in us because of our love for music, dance and the connections we make with each audience member. We will only expect the same from you.

--- SKILL ---
The Basics: Rhythm, Coordination, _Expression, Technique, Balance and Timing.

--- CREATIVITY ---
We are looking for open-minded individuals who are creative and collaborative in nature, and can come up with and share new ideas on how to improve the performance and or other aspects of the project.

As stated above, selected dancers will be guaranteed payment for each performance, along with additional income available from ticket and merchandise sales commission. Details about the compensation terms will be communicated at the audition.
