"Call to Choreographers!"

As part of a new initiative for the 2005/2006 season,
Only Human will be sponsoring a piece for first-year
dancers. This dance will act as a member piece for
first years in addition to their company piece to
increase their participation in the show. We are looking for a choreographer
from our membership who would like the opportunity to introduce new dancers to
our collective.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, outgoing leader to
choreograph a large piece (around 30 people) of
interesting choreography to a wide range of experience
and styles. Only Human would provide rehersal space
for the choreographer for the duration of the season
as well as administrative support and access to
collective resources.

To apply please send a short proposal (50 or so words)
outlining the piece you would like to teach by
AUGUST 30, 2005, AT MIDNIGHT.
Additionally, please include a statement (a few
sentences) telling us about your personal
qualifications for the position. Depending on
response, we may ask to informally meet with
applicants during the first few weeks of September.

We welcome submissions from all styles of dance.
Ideally, the piece would be interesting choreography
with a medium range of difficulty.

this initiatve will provide a more inclusive feel for
new members of our collective, as well as give one of our alumni choreographers
the opportunity to work with
a large number of new and interesting dancers.
