Workshop #1: HAVE A SEAT!

Add some heat and learn a chair dance that will give you and your partner some fever! Lopa, Director of Bollywood Grooves, is teaching a chair dance workshop. Whether you want to enhance your upcoming Valentine's Day plans, or just have fun with your girlfriends, this class is lighthearted, sexy and fun! Lopa worked as a Choreographer for Club Med Resorts and was one of the acts in Toronto’s “salacious” Spiegel Show. Come feel the heat and learn a hot little number to store in your back pocket for those times when you need a little spice in your life.

Workshop #2: I’M A CLASSICAL KINDA GAL…

Learn the art of Classical Indian Dance mixed in with some Bollywood fun! Lopa, Director of Bollywood Grooves, is teaching a classical based dance workshop to give you the opportunity to learn the foundation upon which Bollywood dance is based. Lopa trained in Bharatnatyam for over 20 years and in Kathak both in Canada and the UK. She has performed globally and choreographed for the award winning film, Anamika, made in New York City which tells the story about the origins of the art of Bharatnatyam.

Location: The National Ballet School, 400 Jarvis Street
Time: 11:30 am - 12:30 pm

Fee: $15 for one workshop, $25 for both workshops

No previous dance experience required. Females only.
