The City of Toronto has cancelled all in-person Canada Day events as part of the ongoing municipal response to the coronavirus pandemic, including long-standing Canada Day events at Dundas Square, Ashbridge’s Bay, Centennial Park, Milliken Park, Stan Wadlow Park, Weston Lions Park, Mel Lastman Square, East York, and Scarborough.
Instead, virtual Canada Day events can be accessed at on City of Toronto Website.
The Community Folk Art Council of Toronto will also present a Virtual Multicultural Canada Day celebration , featuring 25 Toronto-based world music and dance ensembles showcasing a bonanza of music, dance and performance traditions, reflective of our diverse city. The Community Folk Art Council for some 40 years has been a leader in promoting the traditional arts in Toronto.

Toronto based groups performing music and dances from diverse heritages will be live-streamed to your living room, including Afghan, Armenian, Azerbaijani, Bulgarian, Carribean, English, Egyptian, Hungarian, Korean, Kurdish, Indian, Macedonian, Mexico, Pakistan, Peru, the Philippines, Poland, Polynesia, Portugal, Serbia, Spain, Sweden, Turtle Island and Uyghur heritage.
