10 Week Showgirl Intensive

The BurlesqueUni Showgirl Intensive is a 10 week training program for students looking to further their dance and performance skills. Students develop their own burlesque personas, learn basic – advanced dance techniques, become familiar with costume design & creation, participate in themed photo shoots, and perform in a full ticketed showcase at the end of the ten weeks.

Mandatory Placement Day:
Sunday, September 8th, 2019 1pm-3.30pm
Location: 333 Spadina Ave – 2nd floor

This Open Level placement class will be for all students signed up for current Burlesque Uni Showgirl Training Semester (Sept 8). Instructors will place students in the appropriate level and full training will commence the week of Sept 15th. The placement class is required for all registered students.

Full 10 week training begins the week of Sunday, September 15, 2019. Showcase dates: Thursday, November 28 – The Velvet Underground Friday, November 29 – Cherry Cola’s *Please note that the Velvet showcase is the intermediate/advanced showcase & the Cherry Colas showcase is the beginner showcase. Select students may be involved in both showcases*

Weekly Training Schedule:
Sundays: 1pm-3:30pm : Intermediate
Tuesdays: 6:30-9pm: Advanced
Wednesdays: 6:30-9pm: Beginner

Price includes ($452.00 tax included) 20 plus hours of rehearsal training and 1 hour long solo workshop. Extensive solo workshopping can be scheduled for an additional cost. Some students may also be selected for small group numbers, extending the number of training hours. Price does not include costumes.

Please note that all sales are final. BurlesqueUni does not offer refunds. In certain cases, class credit may be applied. Students enrolled in the intensive who miss more than 2 weeks of class time will be required to purchase private training to stay up to date with course content.
