Happening around the first Saturday of every month 2-5 pm, this proposed gathering is a not for profit participant-run experimental practice, exploration, and collaborative learning of the art of butoh dance. We are very excited to organize this proposed ongoing collective practice, which we hope will help to further foster this art in our city.
No prior experience of the dance is needed; just a willingness to contribute and engage with creative ideas of other participant-movers. You may bring music, visuals, poetry, or anything basically that you think will stimulate our collective practice.
Please contact us if you have any questions, suggestions, or comments. Depending on the attendance, we can make our practice more frequent. We will have something prepared to get us started. We hope to see you soon!
