The carnival vibes are here!
All are welcome to dance, have fun, and raise funds for Caribbean Heritage Month; by participating in, the first-of-its kind, family-friendly, all-ages Caribbean dance-a-thon!
Wear comfortable clothing/shoes, bring your whistle and rag; and work out your waist-line to sweet, mesmerizing music from the Caribbean, through this carnival-inspired fundraising initiative! Dancing will be self-guided/paced, unstructured, freestyle. No experience necessary.
Optional: Wear Caribbean flag(s) colours, Caribbean-themed, tropical/festive clothing and/or accessories!
Parts of this event will be photographed/filmed/streamed for promotional purposes only.
Dance-Participant Registration types:
Child/Senior/General: ONE-HOUR & ALL-DAY DANCE: Includes one bottled water, one raffle ticket, and one participant certificate.
Child/Senior/General: TWO-HOUR DANCE: Includes a special shout-out, one bottled water, one meat/veg patty, TWO raffle tickets , one participant certificate.
Fundraising activities will include: raffles tickets, freshly-made fruit juices, tshirts, snacks, loonie ($1.00) song-requests/shout-outs, and more!

100% of profits will go directly to future Caribbean Women’s Society and Caribbean Heritage Month activities.
4:00 to 4:30 – sign in, name tags, raffle ticket, bottled water
4:30 to 4:40 – Official welcome
4:40 – 5:00 PM vendor sales, food/drink/raffle sales, new memberships, dance warm-up
5:00 – 6:00 Dance-a-thon
6:00 – 6:30 Break, vendor sales, food/drink/raffle sales, new memberships
6:30 – 7:30 Dance-a-thon
7:30 – 7:50 Break, vendor sales, food/drink/raffle sales, new memberships, raffle winners, presentation of participant certificates, group photo
7:50 – 8:00 Closing remarks
