The Dance and Dialogue performance series is a way for our audience to engage with dance in a whole new way. We use a work from our repertoire that explores central issues that are plaguing our society such as mental illness, climate change, and human inequality. Dance, like all art, provides a bridge to discuss divisive issues in our society. This bridge gives us a chance to discover ways that we might heal together. At each one-hour event we will have four panelist speakers: a community leader who is working for change, a spiritual leader at the forefront of the issue, our theologian in residence, and the choreographer of the work with the dancers. The audience will have a chance to see the work performed again after discussing it in order to discover the intention of the movement.
February’s event will address climate change.
Registration closes on February 26 at 3:00 pm.
