DanceWorks, Toronto’s longest running contemporary dance series, proudly presents cutting-edge Toronto dance company inDANCE with the world premiere of Holy Cow(s)!, choreographed by Artistic Director Hari Krishnan.
A subversive and physically complex full-length dance production, Holy Cow(s)! runs rampant, toppling South Asian-dance related taboos of gender, identity, sexuality and cultural (mis)appropriation – provoking desire and derision through humor and eroticism.
A highly personal work from Hari Krishnan, Holy Cow(s)! also features solos choreographed by Sean Curran (New York City), David Brick (Philadelphia) and Jay Hirabayashi (Vancouver).
Holy Cow(s)! is performed by seven talented Toronto dance artists: Paul Charbonneau, Beth Despres, Peter Hessel, Roney Lewis, Megan Nadain, Vinod Para and Xi Yi.
