Celebrating Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre’s 40th anniversary, Gravity’s Edge features a cutting-edge programme of mixed company repertoire by leading choreographers from Canada and abroad, filmed in a selection of curious and stunning outdoor locations.
The production features a world premiere dance film by Artistic Director Deborah Lundmark, alongside vibrant and compelling works by Gioconda Barbuto, Roderick George, Sasha Ivanochko, and Hanna Kiel. Gravity’s Edge is captured on camera by rising dance filmmakers Drew Berry and Krista Newey, and will be broadcast to viewers around the world via Vimeo Live.
Directly following the livestream on July 17, we invite you to join us on Zoom for a Virtual Reception & 40th Anniversary Alumni Reunion in celebration of the performance and CCDT’s four decades of bringing aspiring young dance artists to the stage.
