Musical Theatre Workshop

Join us as we welcome Broadway dancer and rehearsal director Michael Jablonski, in this special 3-part Musical Theatre workshop. Michael will be bringing his extensive Broadway experience to the studio as he will teach you original Broadway choreography over the course of the workshop. Q&A and Audition tips will also be included.

Michael Jablonski – Musical Theatre Dance

Michael has been a successful musical theatre dancer for over 20 years. He has taken his experience on the stage and transitioned it into the classroom where he has taught master classes for many universities and dance centers across the globe.

Michael is currently residing as the Dance Captain of the Toronto and National Touring company of the hit Broadway show Matilda. He was part of the original cast of the Original Broadway production of Cry-Baby. Michael understudied and performed the role of Riff in the most recent Broadway revival of West Side Story. He was part of the Broadway cast of The Book of Mormon and went on to perform in both national touring companies. Michael toured the world with 8 different National Tours including Matilda, The Book of Mormon, West Side Story (50th Anniversary world tour), Saturday Night Fever, Doctor Dolittle, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas starring Ann-Margret, Victor/Victoria, and Brigadoon. Michael performed 4 years with the Radio City Rockette’s in the Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall. On film, he can be seen as a featured dancer in the movie version of The Producers starring Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane.

Michael has performed at many prestigious theatre’s across the United States including Goodspeed Opera House, Pioneer Theatre Company, LaJolla Playhouse, Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, Seattle’s 5th Avenue Theatre, Kansas City Starlight, Stages St. Louis, Sacramento Music Circus, Houston Theatre Under The Stars, Flatrock Playhouse, Riverside Theatre, North Shore Music Theatre, Forestburgh Playhouse, Atlanta Theatre of The Stars, Theatre by The Sea, and Austin Musical Theatre.

Michael has a Bachelor of Arts from SUNY at Buffalo and has been a Guest Lecturer and Master Instructor of dance & Musical Theatre audition technique at many Universities and academic programs across the U.S and Canada. He has taught at Shenandoah University, University at Buffalo, University of Texas, University of Utah, Sacramento Music Circus Summer Intensive program, and Stages St. Louis Young artists program.

On the creative side Michael has assisted David Marquez in the Pre-Broadway Workshop of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer that opened at The Minskoff Theater on Broadway. He also created additional choreography for the National Tour of The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas starring Ann-Margret. Michael recently assisted Karen Azenberg for her musical staging of Les Miserables at Pioneer Theatre Company in Salt Lake City. He has also supervised 4 national tours and multiple regional productions as their Dance Captain.

Michael is a member of Canadian Actors Equity Association, American Actors Equity Association, American Guild of Variety Artists, and the Screen Actor’s Guild.
