Perform With Garry Portugal : Toronto Exclusive

Dance ConneXion and Los Pachangueros are excited to present a Toronto exclusive Panchanga shines performance project.

Choreographed by Garry Portugal and Instructed by both Tania Wong and Garry Portugal. Open to both men and women.

Garry Portugal is known as El Pachanguero and is considered one of New York & New Jersey’s top dancers and choreographers in Salsa, Mambo, Bachata, Pachanga and other dance styles. With over 12 years of dance experience, Garry has worked alongside many great dance professionals such as Eddie Torres – The Mambo King, Griselle Ponce, Freddie Rios, Mike Ramos, Albert Torres, and many others. He and his company Los Pachangueros are featured in numerous congresses and events both nationally and internationally. A piece of advice Garry wishes to impart to his students is to “learn, train and practice, but above all, let your dancing reflect who you are!”

Tania Wong, an accomplished dancer with a diverse background, has won numerous titles including 3-times Canadian Bachata Champion, Toronto Salsa Champion, amongst many others. Since 1995, she has been instructing Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba, Chacha, Ballet, Jazz and Creative dance classes at various dance schools, community centers and dance clubs internationally, bringing her love of dance to students from 2 to over 70 years old! While her technique is regularly praised she is most proud to receive comments of Energetic, Entertaining, and Engaging! She is the Director of Dance ConneXion, which recently celebrated 10 years in business, as well as Alma Toronto & Yamulee Toronto, the official branches of the world famous Alma Latina and Yamulee Dance Company.

The performance team classes will be conducted every Saturday (Starting 1st April) for a duration of 4 months.
