The Monthly LIndy Hop Workshop for February

This workshop is for you if you have taken some Lindy Hop beginner classes at Saturday Night Swing in 8-count Lindy Hop, and want to go further!

This workshop focuses on learning and working on the Swing Out and Lindy Circle, the two main basics of Lindy Hop. Including connection, momentum, follower swivels and more.

Teachers: Dan Amores & Stephanie Amores.

Dan is an outstanding Lindy Hop dancer, teacher and performer, has been an invited Lindy Hop teacher across Europe, the US, Canada and parts of Asia, and has won or placed in the top few at the highest levels of Lindy Hop dance competition in the US. He and Stephanie have taught together for years, met doing Lindy Hop, and are now married with three young kids.

Prerequirement: You have taken some of the beginner classes in 8-count Lindy Hop at Saturday Night Swing, or the equivalent of that.

Admission: $35 (which includes the workshop and also Saturday Night Swing that night, including the beginner classes and party), $5 off for full-time students.

Feel free to bring something for supper to eat at Dovercourt House between 6pm and 7pm. Or if some of those in the workshop wish to we can order pizza to Dovercourt House just after 6pm, and those interested in that can chip in for the order. For those who prefer a restaurant meal, we will suggest a nearby restaurant or two where people can go to have supper and hang out before the party.

The next dates for this monthly workshop are Saturdays March 14, April 11, and May 2. Take as many of them as you like, there will be different teachers and somewhat different subject matter each time.

In addition, on Saturday May 9 there is a Lindy Hop Workshop 2 for which the prequirement is having taken the Monthly Lindy Hop Workshop at least once (or the equivalent of that).
