The Moving Connections Project at the MNJCC

COMMUNITY DANCE OPPORTUNITY

In partnership with the MNJCC, supported by Kaeja d’Dance and the Ontario Trillium Foundation.

We invite you to join movement workshops which aim to establish meaningful connections. By exploring moments that have touched us in our lives, we will create small dances together through the mining of participants’ stories and memories. Led by established professional choreographer Karen Kaeja, Co-Artistic Director of Kaeja d’Dance, Karen will share her expertise working with community engagement dance creation over the past 30 years.

No previous dance experience is necessary! First come first served, so sign up early! We welcome participants from all backgrounds and walks of life and of all abilities.

While all adults (18+) are welcome to join, this workshop is geared towards the older adult demographic.

GETTING HERE/ACCESSIBILITY
The Miles Nadal Jewish Community Centre is located at 750 Spadina Avenue, on the south-west corner of Spadina and Bloor, just steps from Spadina subway station. Parking is available at the ‘Green P’ parking lot located just north of the 7-Eleven that is on the north-west corner of Spadina and Bloor, at the ‘Green P’ parking lot just north of Spadina subway (on the east side of Spadina), or on side streets. The Miles Nadal JCC is a completely accessible building, and is a designated WheelTrans stop.

Water will be provided.
