The Digital Toronto Fringe Festival returns July 21 – 31, 2021 taking place completely online. Toronto Fringe 2021 will present over 65 shows in four virtual series including the Fringe On-Demand series, KidsFest On-Demand series, Fringe Primetime series, and POSTSCRIPT Live(stream) events.
Dance shows at Toronto Fringe will include:
Asylum, a young Iranian dancer waits in Turkey hoping to be granted asylum, but can he even make it to the border?
Dance of Torn Papers, a double-bill immersive 360˚ film experience presented in both English and Farsi by Nowadays Theatre.
In Transit, a contemporary-jazz dance show exploring the transitory nature of life, trauma, and memories.
Steels Traps Don’t Rust, a dance film exploring the communication breakdowns within the brain and relationships that are part of working through mental health issues and how that affects our approach to care.
Venus & Adonis, new take on William Shakespeare’s poem “Venus & Adonis” through contemporary dance, electronic soundscapes, re-imagined prose and glam-pop styles.
