TO Live, and the artist-based collective KeepRockinYou, celebrate the 6th season of the Toronto B-GIrl Movement program in the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts lobby, Sunday, May 5, 2019, 4PM – 9PM.
The participants are celebrating their participation and the completion of their three month commitment to a Break dancing program facilitated by Soupy & Caerina.
The event will open with cyphers (an informal gathering of rappers, beatboxers, and/or breakdancers) and fellowship with a communal pot luck provided by the participants for everyone. Then the Battles will begin – judged by B-boy Piecez, B-Girl Soupy and B-boy Illz and hyped tunes presented by DJs M4RS and Fly Lady Di. A $500 prize will be awarded! B-Boys are welcome to participate as well as B-Girls.
Tickets are now on sale and available online at www.sonycentre.ca, by calling the TO Live Box Office at 416.368.6161 x 1 or in person at select TO Live Box Offices. Tickets are $10 ($5 early bird price until April 14).
