The 4th Annual Toronto International Flamenco Festival brings the world Flamenco stage to Toronto with some of the most exciting artists direct from Spain as well Canadian talents Lisa La Mantia and Dustin Shaskin & The Café Olé.
Audiences and critics are calling this Festival the “Ultimate Flamenco Experience,” and flamenco fans are coming from Calgary, New Jersey, Montreal, Saskatoon, and Edmonton according to Lionel Felix, the Festival’s founder.
The Festival features up-close-and-personal sessions with guitarist Benjamin Barrile, on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at 12:30 p.m. The Flamenco Movie: Jaleo – La noche blanca del Flamenco will be presented on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 12:30 p.m and on Thursday, October 21, 2010 12:30 p.m.
The festival culminates with a spectacular show “Pa’ Mi Se Quea” (What Stays With Me) featuring dancer Maribel Ramos live on stage at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre, CNE on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 8:00 p.m.
About Maribel Ramos
Maribel Ramos is an internationally renowned artist and has performed in Finland, France, United States, Russia, England, Germany, Jamaica, Australia, and Angola. She has danced with many acclaimed companies including those of Rafael Campallo, Pilar Tavora, Andres Marín, and Victor Ullate.
Maribel is known for the perfection and elegance of her movements. The quality of her footwork is equally striking for its power and precision. She has won two prestigious awards: “Premio Carmen Amaya de l’Hospitalet de LLobregat” in Barcelona for the most complete dancer, and the “Perla de Cadiz.” Watch her perform below:

The Toronto International Flamenco Festival is a Not-for-Profit organization dedicated to increasing the popularity of Flamenco in North America by creating an inclusive environment for both artists and spectators.
